Black Beauty Redefined
The HBCU Pageant Experience
Black Beauty Redefined is a raw and intimate look at what it truly means to be a part of this rich tradition. This behind-the-scenes film takes you on a journey of 8 young women at North Carolina A&T University, preparing for the 2024 Phi Beta Sigma pageant. It reveals the personal stories of those who have walked this path—stories of struggle, resilience, triumph, and the undeniable bond that unites us. These pageants are not just about winning a crown—they are rites of passage that prepare young women to step into a world full of opportunities, challenges, and most importantly, sisterhood.
